Fanime 2012 is coming near

Today's Wish: good food
Current Music on the Head:
Food in thought:  panda express’ honey glazed shrimpppp hummm
What did you do?:  woke up watched some crunchyroll and nagged my bro to help me change my bedsheets because it was all covered in my goodies

Hii! I’m feeling a little better nowadays, especially with listening to Akiko Shikata’s wonderful Ar Tonelico music.

Too Much Stuff?

mmmm soo my bro helped me out today, and I really did feel I have too many stuffs :( such material things….sure proves I’m some form of otaku. Waai~ I want more space T^T I want them in shelves instead of stacks, I want them organized. Sometimes I wish to sell them to get more space, but sometimes I don’t want to lose another beautiful work to another. *sigh* otaku indeed. I gotta clean my room someday x_x one of these days….

Artist Alley Table

Sooo… Fanime Artist alley table’s gonna go live on jan 28, I think I have to be around to do it myself and share it with a friend. But first I have to accomplish two things: One, Get myself a Temporary Seller’s Permit. Two, get myself registered for Fanime 2012. Definitely going to be busy this month.

Sketchbook

Well I’m not super really prepared for the Artist Alley, so I just decided I’d make a small booklet sketchbook to sell for that and do some commissions, I’m not super good anyways and not as active in DA to actually garner some…familiarity with other popular artists. What do you think? I’m working on something else, I just hope its good :D

Well it’s the middle of the day, a lot of things still in need of doing. See ya’s ^_^ and keep smiling.

Long Time no see

Today's Wish: Enjoy the weekend further
Current Music on the Head: Ricken’s - Be Free
Food in thought: Pork and chicken buns!
What did you do?:  Played a lot of RO, and went to the library to doodle and listen to music.

Woohoo! Its been a while! A Lot of things has come and gone. I attended the yearly Fanime 2011, and my first Anime Expo 2011. Can’t say I have been busy, but I have to say honestly, I have been lazy. Been playing too much video games, but once in a while I hang out with good friends that share the same if not similar views notably known as BAAU.

BAAU Up Project

So, within the group we’ve thought for quite a long time ago to create a colored art book to sell to conventions just like we sell the BAAU Down. After finally deciding and voting for a theme, the project is underway….slowly. To be truthful I haven’t even finished my one and only colored entry. I need motivation to finish it ^^;; ahaha~

Anime Expo

Even tho I didn’t fully attend the event, I checked out friday and saturday. I enjoyed immensely the ParaPara Workshop. Got to watch a Lupin III movie, though I was already dozing in and out. Saw awesome cars, industry booths, and shook hands with most of the DA artists I follow. And its really as packed as it seems on convention photos. It has its very own aura way different from Fanime.

I also got to meet Heimdllr and Oda from Warpportal/Ragnarok Online. And I also met two of my guildies from Under the Moonlight Guild.

WonderCon

I forgot to mention that I checked out WonderCon in San Francisco on April. It was fun, packed and the Moscone Center sure is humongous. Not to mention the crowd’s vibes are way different from Anime conventions, but it still has serious cosplayers nonetheless.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica -anime

OMG when I got introduced to this anime during Fanime, I was hooked. It’s a wonderful story, really one of the animes worth watching. My Rating for it is:

Highschool of the Dead - anime

I love this anime! Zombies! Action! Romance! Fanservice! Gore! That’s why I volunteered to be a zombie for Fanime this year. Getting ghoulish make-up from Kicket Costumes, and minty flavored blood all over my face 8D. It was organized by Ratgirl Productions, who also introduced to me the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series from her Anime Marathon Sundays.

Tiger and Bunny - anime

Ahhh, this anime just recently finished, and I love it! you can catch it on Hulu if its still up there. Wonderful anime. Friendship! Silliness! Super Powers! Sponsors! Teamwork! Trust! A very fun anime.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt - anime

Really really wacky anime. Very..perverse in terms of puns, images and effects. While Vulgar, its also quite comical and silly. It has a good mix of stupidity, oddness and insanity, to last probably until someone makes another wacky experimental anime.

Ragnarok Online – MMORPG

These past month or two RO has implemented the ‘Grampa Turnin Quest’. This quest basically sets a character into hunting 400 of 2-4 monsters in a single map, with quests ranging in mid levels to high levels. Every other week, they change the level tier to accommodate for those that couldn’t take the quest from the previous week. It has a cooldown of one day, and for VIP members of the game, they are give the opportunity to be immediately warped to the hunting grounds, and choose where to have their experience points from the quest to be on their job exp, base exp or both. I had fun playing with my other characters on it and I got my Knight into a transcendant Lord Knight in a couple of days, of course with the help of good friends online. (Thanks Sketch`)

The even it still on-going, and it is unknown when it will end. There was also a patch update which was Dewata. It has 2 dungeons and 2 fields and one city map. Gotta love the first dungeon, it drops a lot of coal, rough oridecons and eluniums.

Legendary Starfy, Kirby Mass Attack – Nintendo DS games

I finished playing Legendary Starfy, it was fun. Fun, innovative and silly platform games are always cool on my book. Speaking of which, the Kirby Mass Attack game I bought two weeks ago is the same genre, and its soooooo cute! It has mini games inside, and I’m already on the 3rd world. Almost there!

Sailor Moon Vol 1, Codename: Sailor V vol 1 – manga

OMG couldn’t believe they are reprinting Sailor Moon again! Will definitely watch out for it, and hopefully collect them all!

Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Program

Sooo, Nintendo lowered the price for the 3DS so fast I heard there might be backlash for those who purchased their 3DS on its launch date. So I got the Ambassador Program, where I’m promised 20 free games. First 10 free games released last September 15, and the rest late this year. I’ve downloaded them all, and frankly, I don’t like some of them, but free games are free games. I did love Balloon Fight, that game has a lot of playability to it.

Steve Jobs Passing

I may not have personally known him, but if he’s the one who brought iPod to the world, then he’s worth mentioning. May you rest in peace.

Today’s Doodles

So, I want to my local library today out of boredome of just staying at home all day. I didn’t want to drive far, so I decided to stay local. And I checked out some manga, read a magazine and doodled a bit about anatomy, so here they are:

That’s all I recall for now. See you all later and keep smiling! ^_^

Fermont Holiday Anime Faire, Ragnarok 12.0 Update and Office X-mas Party
Today's Wish: That I get well from my cold
Current Music on the Head: Kokia-Say Hi!!
Food in thought: sushi
What did you do?: just woke up from bed

Well well well, It has been a while. I have not posted in 2 weeks, so here I am posting one now.

Fremont Holiday Anime Faire

So I attended for the first time the yearly Fremont Anime Holiday Faire thru acquiring info from my BAAU friends. It was a really fun experience inside a small convention. But I was just concerned with the drawing workshop, so I was excited to learn some new things. I didn't expect the workshop comes with a free manga sketchpad and two different line widths of sakura micron pens and a sumo mech pencil, all for 5$ how awesome it that?

So Mr Ian and Miss Karen taught about not only dynamic poses, but the cause and effect dynamic posings of two stick figures, pretty interesting concept that I've never even thought about. There was also a plus when I discovered that this familiar guy across the room was Long Vo, a former Gaia Online Artist. I knew he looked familiar, but I didn't know where. His sketching abilities are quick and awesome, and I was able to ask for his autograph, he's a pretty nice person.

So around the convention, there were different workshops going on at the same time, like make your own Christmas card table, or make your own Christmas ornament for your Christmas Tree table, PMBQ merchandise, where I bought 2 awesome shirts from for a bargain price of 20$. The snack store had nice goodies, including cotton candy <3<3 Top Ramen, and beverages. There was also a Gaia Online store where they sold Gaia Online Merchandise, I was finally able to buy one of my things in the wishlist, to have my own Kiki Kitty plushie, waii!! so cute.

On the way back, I met Jill again from the previous BAUUBQ, and was nice enough to give me a ride to the station :) which was awesome of her (after eating at a Pho' for the first time).

All in all the Fremont Holiday Anime Faire was incredible, a really delightful event that had big things, for a small convention ^__^

Ragnarok Online 12.0 Patch Update

Aiyayayay! RO had just recently updated the game, and in this chapter of the stories in Midgard, Morroc City was devastated by a deadly explosion coming from the Morroc Palace, which people claim was the cause of Satan Morroc escaping from its thousand years of slumber buried under the Morroc Palace. Children lost their parents, merchants moved into the Pyramid map in makeshift tents, still trying to sell their wares, and people who are just damn affected by such trauma they have never experienced in their lives. Morroc City will never be the same again, with tens of buildings and houses totalled or partially destroyed, and the Kingdom of Rune-Midgard is in a state of panic. The Royal orders from Prontera's Castle, now that King Tristam III is no longer with them, try their best to send soldiers and willing volunteers to help restore back the former glory of a city that was once known for its awesome oasis, the City of Morroc. A sad story Indeed.

Together with this update was an implementation of the so-called BattleGrounds, where adventurers choose which Prince's side they help lend their powers in order to settle which prince will become the new king of the Marroll Kingdom. I haven't experienced the enjoyment of the game yet, however, observing my younger brother frantically playing BattleGrounds due to the incentive points and items of Valor and Bravery given to those who helped, seems to be exhilarating and exciting as well.

Office X-Mas Party

The party was just last night, and as usual, enjoyed all the free sushi I can acquire. Nothing much were very eventful just the usual, eat, play casino games and listen to music. It was very very chilly tho, and I still haven't recovered from my cold yet.

That's all so far. Since Christmas is nearby, I'm greeting everyone who checks out my blog every now and then, Merry Christmas and Happy new year!!

It's Been A While

Today's Wish: That we all had a good time during July the 4th

Food in thought: Vietnamese Pork BBQ Sandwich <3
What did you do?:Today? Hmm... Got some more festival tickets from RO and then played FFTA2 more, Did some emergency quick laundry at the coin laundry and played some more FFTA2

Hello Hello!!! Its been a while!! Its been around 2 weeks and it seemed that I've already forgotten my blog. Honestly, I am forgetful at times :3 But no worries! I'm here to update you all on what I've been doing with my life :)

Santa Cruz Beach

A week after my youngest brother's graduation, a friend of mine proposed that me and my other friends head for the beach. We had a good time, and there were also some bad times. I have learned a very important lesson: Bring durable slippers because the sand is scorching hot during midday. My slippers broke down, and one of my friends offered his slippers on the way back. Man, did it really scorch him >.<

Movies:

Recently I've been watching a handful of movies lately that I need to really remember hard what i've watched. So here goes...
  • Kung-Fu Panda - The animation was very smooth and comical. Storyline is very solid and the beginning starts in a slow crawl but nothing that came from there was left behind at the end.
  • Wanted - Awesome effects, the storyline is light and can be related to other 'life stories' but very graphic when it comes to sex scenes as well as the violence scenes. Better watch this at matinée price and not good for kids.
  • Hancock- Good Story, very humorous and heartwarming, and a happy ending :D
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2

Wooot!! I've acquired a new game and its the best one I consider among all other DS games I currently posses 8D As expected this game had a lot to offer for me. Fun, diversity of new jobs and races, made even harder to play even at normal mode and more. Took me a while to finally be able to dispatch decent clan members for a quest and many more. I couldn't take my hand off my DS even up till now, I had to wrench myself off from it to remember to update this blog XD. Best Strategy RPG around for the DS.

Ragnarok Online

I've been aware that the Hugel Festival has been around for the last two weeks due to iRO's Anniversary Celebration, however I only tried acquiring tickets for base exp just last friday because I was free from work (I finished early <3>

As for War of Emperium, it has been recently been frustrating that the Under the Moonlight Guild of Loki has been juggling duties to support fellow Allianced Guilds or to go hunt a castle for our own. As surprising as it was I was the one responsible in securing the position of the Castle Guardians to be at the Entrance at all possible time. Really frustrating when lag strikes in and you die in one blow.

Sketches

I've been doing a handful of sketches as of late out of boredom while fulfilling my daily duties. Some were awesome and some were scribbles and I'm too lazy to color them digitally or even scan them through my old scanner. Maybe one of these days you'll be able to see them in my DeviantArt Gallery.

For now I'm pretty much occupied playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
Until then people of the world. Take care and hear from you next time :D

Fanime 2008
I am soo happy I've attended Fanime 2008. It has been a relieving experience. The only one i'll experience until next year.

I've finally finished posting my pics and vids up, come check it out :D
Fanime 2008 Pictures

*sigh* I wish it was all week, but we all know we'd be out of ideas, and money by then TAT

Okay some Highlights to tick off:
  • I saw old and new faces, really good to see people again, even though you don't personally know their names, where they're from, and what they're up to. It feels like an awesome method of uniting people of similar interests.
  • Me and my bro cosplayed for the first time. I went as a Ragnarok Online Ninja while my bro went as Red-Haired Shanks from One-Piece. Quite and experience i'll never forget to remember to keep your props secure or you'll lose them as soon as you leave the elevator of your Hotel room.
  • I discovered that the Swap Meet is the best place to get bargains. I was able to at least touch the Legendary Poring Mouse. I couldn't buy it because the owner was selling it for $100 TAT. One can also haggle prices, or it seems. I was able to haggle down Vol 1 and Vol 2 of Ragnarok Manhwa from 3$ each to 1$ each <3>
  • Karaoke room is awesome as usual. I heard people's different voices, whether it be just seconds late of lyrics or totally out of tune, it just feels so right to vent out your feelings into the song and release all the pressures of the world one has been holding onto for a year with songs.
  • I finally got to play with some people on my DS it was totally fun. Speaking of DS Games, the Dealers room had Japanese import games OMG I was sooooooooooooooooo happy, I didn't need to pay for the shipping fee <3<3>,<>
  • The Gaming Rooom, Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~~!!! its the best!!! All the arcade games you can play all weekend nights looong!!! And the Console Gaming Center was more organized then last year, soo much better <3<3<3>
  • I finally got to meet the rest of the BAAU gang!! (BAY AREA ARTISTS UNITE) quite an experience to discover people from different lifestyles and own personalities. I was a little shy, but it all went alright. I tried helping sell our BAAU Down 7 debut manga :D Someone please buy our manga ^^ we still have around 300 copies more and also more of the previous issues. We were able to sell more then a hundred issues at the Artists Alley. We also had dinner at this Indian Resto called Tandoori, and since we got short of tables inside, we ate outside in the view of how San Jose evening Nightlife looks like. We also went up to the BAAU hotel room and talk about stuffs and more sales strategies. Quite an enchanted evening I had.
  • Anime Video Rooms, you gotta love them, was able to watch a couple of my fave animes, like Detective Conan, and Hellsing Ultimate, and glimpses of Dragon Ball Z, Rise of Broly, and Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust.
  • Panels are as encouraging as ever, amusing as well. I didn't imagine that Jonathan Osborne's "Who's Line Is It?" Panel could be so hilarious plus the fact that it had audience participation and with Ebner leading the crowd (Vote for Ebner for next con President!!)
  • Photos Photos Photos!!! can't have enough of it but It can't be helped if we ran out batteries and memory, we knew such things would come, but it still came even if we were prepared *sigh*
  • Best stay ever at the San Jose Hilton Hotel, they made sure they clean our rooms every time we leave <3<3<3>
  • The cosplay gathering were sooo fun!!! but more fun was the appearance of Protestors. For some reason they just appeared in the front of the Convention Center with placards saying "Turn to Jesus or Burn in Hell" and other things. Either they mistook this Fanime Convention as some sort of Religious Congregations, or they just believe that Anime Fans are heretics to the Christian Religion. Either way, it is not something i'd like to force people to just change immediately and become instant Saints. They brought Evangelism to new heights, that they did, but it is sad to hear they think liking anime is a sin in itself. Anyways I heard the Jesus cosplayer came out during the incident due to the clamor of the anime crowd and went before these protestors and had fun taking pictures with them. Quite an amazing feat from what i've seen in the videos on Youtube.

*sigh* I wait next year's Fanime ^__^ Until then keep smiling.
