Major Update Post ^^

Today's Wish: To get stuffs done x_X
Current Music on the Head:

Food in thought: Chicken and Corn Eggdrop soup :D
What did you do?: Work? its 3am in the morning on a saturday, let me have my way.

Okies long time no update but I’ve been busy, so I thought of a nifty way to not forget what to write here. I started typing topics down whenever I think its worth sharing with you all ^^

Rytmik

I downloaded this DSiWare for my 3DS over December or was that early Jan, I don’t remember. But this small app lets you make music, which I find cool! I’m no master but I do enjoy creating things! It takes a while to get used to but you also have to have a good ear for music too because some of the tracks I combined together sure are horrible x_x I just need to get better at it when I tinker with them again!

Artist Alley

I was about to write of thinking to joining Fanime Artist Alley, but the opportunity presented itself in the form of drifjunky13 suggesting we share a table. What fun! I struggled with AA registration last January and took a while in the waitlist, as well as taking time to run over to BoE to get myself a temporary seller’s permit. Now I’m registered for fanime, and I just the go ahead that I just got the table, preparation time ahoy! Someone teach me about comissions, I’m not super familiar with it. Aside from that I’m preparing a sketchbook to sell at my table ^_^ and perhaps other things too.

Wanting More Markers

With the recent events, I got more motivated to experiment more with what I have, and by luck I even got a wonderful guide in the form of a book called Shojo Wonder Manga Art School from Michael’s. Although copics still are a little ways expensive, my hand Deleter Neopiko-2 does not fail to do their job. Sadly with the past few years that I have mishandled some of them, there are some that are not in good condition, things like I forgot to close the cap, I pressed too hard now the brush tip’s threatening to fall off whenever I want to use them (thank god for double sided tips), broken tips because I was being in a hurry to recap them, and destroyed them in the process. I was able to do some nice works which was nice :D although quite time consuming, since I usually think what colors I want to use which takes minutes to hours haha xD So yeah I do want more. I’ve recently purchased some from Etoyhobbies.com and they were quick to send, I got it in 3 days business time ^^ maybe I should buy more.

Ragnarok Online : Mora

The latest update has descended upon the Rune Midgard kingdom and a pathway that supplies the Splendide Fairy Army with armaments and necessities have been cut off. It is up to us Adventurers to brave the dangerous Hazy Forest to bring word of news and transport supplies to and from the Trade City of Mora in Jotunheim, a hub filled with other merchants such as Talking dogs, elephants and plants.

It took me a while to finish the required quests to be able to get to Mora, and there were nice Adventurers that helped me get through the scary Hazy Forest Maze, which if you don’t have a huge printed map with you could spell you to be doomed to wander there for all of eternity..or simply die from the creatures that inhabit the place. They are the latest monsters in the game, and they sure pack quite some damage, so gear up, don’t forget your potions and yggdrasil leaves and get going! Great rewards await you at the end, like the most talked about White Wing Set, which enhances Ranger’s Arrow Storm skill damage by 50% with the complete set, and more bonuses with each refine level of the armor, not to mention the special enchantments that can bestow several effects to deal more damage or help, if you’re patient enough to reset them with Mora Coins to get what bonuses you want. That part, I don’t like x_x but oh well, I gotta go thru with it.

Needing More Sleep

Haha, I’ve nott been sleeping properly…I just have this feeling I need to finish a lot of things, they keep me up most of the time. That or just video games. My sleep clock’s way off nowadays :(

Vacation Time

I didn’t do much, but I took my vacation on February, and I was able to vegetate, ingest a ton of anime, and played a lot of RO. I created an alchemist for Ragnarok Online because they had a promo about the update on the Homunculus ‘S’ class, but oh well, I’ll keep my filir the way she is. She’s soo cute!

Tri-City Meets

I’ve recently been actively participating in the local Tri-City sketch jams when I’m free on weekends, which just enables me to hang, draw, chat about things, and gossip about fun stories about other BAAU members :D haha plain late night chatting and drawing sessions galore.

Life Drawing in Mountain View

The week before my Feb Vacation, I checked out the Life Drawing Classes in Mountain View. I have been wanting to do it for 2 years now, but since I just passed my driving exam last year, and now I’ve been a little more adventurous into venturing out a little farther from where I live. Ahaha I’m not so prepared to draw a nude dude but oh wells I got some doodles down ^^ it was quite ..an experience. Maybe I’ll do it another time.

Chihayafuru

I started watching this new anime called Chihayafuru, I think since December, and I do love watching it. It just finished its first season a few weeks ago, I’m a little disappointed at the ending. There should be another season. Too bad karuta’s kinda hard to know how to play especially if you have to memories 100 poems and recognize which other half of the poem/card in the reader reading before the opponent gets it.

I rate this anime : out of 5 ^^

Also they made a parody comic about it in Anime News Nina! Check it out!

Knight in the Area

I’ve started watching a few of its episode, but I fell back and never watched it again after 4 episodes into this anime. I’m not too into Soccer, but it looks badass on how they present it. Overshadowed younger brother afraid of his own power from injuring a playmate during an elementary match. His elder brother dies saving him from a rogue construction truck when the siblings were talking to each other on the way to school. The younger brother wakes up from the accident a month later, not knowing that it was his brother’s heart that was transplanted into his due to a huge puncture in his chest during the accident. Months later after rehabilitation he returns to school, and exhibited some of his brothers traits without him knowing so, to the fear of people who recognized it tho.

I rate this anime : out of 5 ^^

Natsume Yuujinchou

I’ve recently started catching up to Natsume’s Book of friends anime, and I definitely love it! However as the third season comes to a close, the anime becomes darker and darker, as Natsume gets more involved with a renowned excorcist clan, which powerful Head of House doesn’t care about youkai, but rather places them in the category of useful, or just trash to be exorcised. Things are heating up and I want to know what happens on season four, Natsume Yuujinchou Shi

I rate this anime : out of 5 ^^

Black Death

It’s a really dark movie o_o scary and bloody. It tests your faith to the limit. A very bitter twist in the end.

Kid Icarus: Uprising

I LOVE THIS GAME! I got it a few weeks ago and I really really really like it! Er…well except for Reapers and Ornes, but everything else’s okay, especially the Weapon Fusion feature and Together Mode: Light Vs Dark. Have a 3Ds? Get the game already, nuff said!

The Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses SF

01 The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley by Zelda Philharmonic

04 Gerudo Valley by Zelda Philharmonic

06 Twlight Princess Symphonic Movement by Zelda Philharmonic

Man I loved it! I went with my dad on the 28th of March 2012 at the Davies Symphony Hall. I loved how it wasn’t too loud. I got a ton of streetpasses. I had fun chatting with friends and I was able to take some err very few pictures. I wish they’d play again T^T I got a T-Shirt and Poster for 35$
It was very memorable <3 Can’t help but cry at beautiful parts, gawk at the fights, entranced by melodies and clap a lot, as in a LOT. They gave us one more extra arrangement, and that was the Majora’s Mask Arrangement. Encore indeed. I’m gonna miss it T^T MOAR MOAR MOAR CHOUDAI CHOUDAI

Fairy Tail Episode 124, the 7 Year Gap

I can’t help but feel sad about Lucy’s Dad passing away, and the sorry state that the Fairy Tail Guild is in. I hope it looks up better in the next few chapters!

Superman/Shazam!: the Return of Black Adam

I just finished watching this last night and it was cool! Although it was a little disheartening to know it was a short animation only :( Nontheless the DVD’s packed with a lot of Special Features :D

The return of the Crimson Army

Ah Sad Star Soldiers have returned. This small collaborative project was fun to do years back, creating our own characters, superpowers, storylines that revolve around the planet Astralis. We’ve been redesigning our own characters as of late, adjusting timelines, having fun at sharing ideas and motivating each other to complete the timelines of our characters on our facebook page.
For more info, check out our new wikia page!

Do you have what it takes to handle the Formless Darkness?
Can you answer the call of the Unseen?
Who can you trust?
We are Sad Star Soldiers, the Crimson Army. Children chosen by circumstance.

Well That’s it for now. Keep on going!

Enjoying New Laptop – Happy New Year!

Today's Wish: Good Sleep, Good Day at work

What did you do?: Vacation <3
Hi hi! Its been a while! Lazy and Productive Vacation last week. Here are my Highlights:

Temporary Driver’s Permit – oops its been a year since I applied for it. Apparently, when i took the test, I passed with full marks – only to find out that the expiration date of the permit is in the same day i took the written test. So I had to wait for a half-hour in line to pay and renew my permit. I have another year to practice. I’m hoping I will finally learn how to drive better and pass the Driver’s Exam.

AOD – Anime on Display 2010 – Its my first time checking out AOD and it so begins at the beginning of my vacation from work. I hung out most of the time at the BAAU Table supporting my fellow BAAU members in selling out yearly published comic, BAAUDown, and also their own artworks, particularly Yaki-Ika, Driftjunky13 and Pineapple-Pocky. I joined the Karaoke contest out of sheer craziness and fun and shopped around SF Japantown with the most of the gang. Quite an excuse to eat sushi, nearly the entire 2 days <3 I stayed over at Hotel Tomo, quite an interesting hotel, its commonly known as the Anime Hotel to some.

Speaking of BAAUDown, some members of BAAAU did insist that I make a comic contribution this year, instead of just pin-ups. My current progress is that I need 13 pages for inking, and they’ll be ready to scan and formatted for printing size. Talk about rush jobs, took most of my vacation time doing this :( I should have prioritized other things that should have been done by now but…yeah…laziness happens too.

Mangaka 1-2-B Atsumare – I’ve always wanted to check out what Hojo and Huangy posted about the art lessons this group gets to experience, and I didn't get the chance last year, well Huangy gave me a free ride last Sunday because he was pretty excited to teach us how to draw the human features…or drawing ugly men hehehe… check their meet schedules thru this link

Laptop – well, at first I wanted a Toshiba laptop because it was cheap and has all the features I wanted (can play Ragnarok Online, Browse Online, Photoshop 7) apparently at the office store, they did not have the model I wanted. So it was suggested that I get an HP Pavilion dv6-2180us.

This HP Pavilion dv6-2180us, is a high-performance type of laptop and probably a little more expensive then what I was expecting, however its 1GB graphics card memory, its awesome speaker scroll and wi-fi button looked sooo coool :O
And so it was purchased new right then and there with at 50$ Mail-In Rebate (which i need to remind myself to mail later…) It has the latest Windows 7 Home Premium software and a couple of trial products like the Norton Internet Security and Microsoft Office. The first thing I tried was to connect to the internet through our home wifi router. Sadly I had a hard time figuring it out how to get it connected. It seems easy to set it up manually, or to have my wireless to scan open networks. A person from JustAnswer.Com was able to diagnose my wifi adapter software to be corrupted and gave specific instructions on uninstalling its driver and restart. As soon as Win 7 noticed upon restart that there’s a hardware without a driver, it reinstalled its proper driver and I was up and surfing on the internet in mere seconds. Amazing.

Other features I liked were Gadgets, they’re like the Microsoft version of Apple’s Widgets which are pretty nifty when using in the office. The Hulu beta player that streams hulu videos to my enjoyment and convenience. I customized my wallpaper to Ragnarok Online. Sadly I can’t find some sort of copy for the RO sound effects to perfectly blend it into a Ragnarok-ish theme. Windows Live Writer’s also nifty :D I’m using it to upload to my blogger account without having to login through the website, I likey. Now if only they can make templates, i like set text templates, the one that blogger provides and loads every time i want to post something.

Sadly with all these features there are also cons to all the pros. Since I’m not used to having a laptop since its my first, i kinda learned that there are such things as ‘bad posture’ when using a laptop, and boy its hurt the first few days. Now I know that i should prop pillows in my back and sit straight while typing with an occasional breather. Another sad part of my laptop is that its battery can only survive by itself for 2 hours unplugged, less if using wi-fi, the dvd drive to watch media, and other activities. I’ve learned how to used such things as Power Plans to reduce brightness, sleep, idle and other such power-saving plans.

Ragnarok Online – Same old it seems. the never-ending Ice Dungeon Quest seems to have already worn itself out. These past 3 weeks Saturday WoE in Loki is at complete chaos (no pun intended over the Chaos Server), servers dying, characters not being able to log in, main web page not loading, so is the official forums. All seems to be in utter chaos, and same occurred last Wednesday, causing the full shut-down of the servers for an hour or so, details can be found here. On a side note, the Valentines Quest is up and getting a random pet egg seems cute. Time to hunt more then 60 Well-Baked Cookies for the Quest!

Pokemon- Pikachu colored Pichu- I was able to catch up, as today’s the last time I’ll be able to acquire them from Gamestop into my Diamond and Platinum. I await for the Ragnarok Online DS game to come out the following week.

That’s it for now, keep smiling!

I'm still alive!
Today's Wish: good rest
Current Music on the Head: Charai Rai rai by DJ Charao
Food in thought: fried tofu
What did you do?: greeted dad a happy birthday, went to work, had the annual 4th of july bbq, and back to work again.

Well well well, its been a while ne? I have almost begun to neglect my blog. But, I'm here now so lets get to business shall we? A quick summary of the crazy things i've been doing.

- Fanime 2009 was a total blast, it was my first time attenting Black and White ball, and I learned some dance steps to go with it. Too bad i'm not too used to slightly high heeled shoes, they hurt my feet soo much >w< And I learned basic self-defense for women, and loved the swap meet.

-BAAU seems to have acquired new members in the forums and has begun to become a more livelier place to hang out. If you live in the California Bay Area and loves to draw, come on in and talk with us in the forums! http://www.baau.org/forum/

-Para Para - My fascination in this japanese pop culture form of dance has flared up again, and I have been downloading lke crazy on any routine I can have a hold on. That goes for downloading eurobeat MP3's that I can find online.

-Little Brother - So, my little brother has left for the marines a couple of weeks ago, and I recieved his first letter to us. Apparently he's having a difficult time. I hope you hold out there li'l bro we're rooting for ya!

-Gaia Online - apparently I still need to finish one art request from a good friend. I am honestly lazy to work on it though :( ill prolly work on it this weekend perhaps? What of my aquarium fishies? erm like a handful of them already died... I really need to take care of them more.

-Youtube - I have been uploading videos I'ved recorded over the course of Fanime 2009, I've got halfway to go to finish uploading. Check them out at http://www.youtube.com/user/hokagenofujin/

- Video Games - I've acquired Pokemon Platinum amd The World Ends with You around last march. I've barely started ym journey in the Pokemon one, but for TWEWY,wow i'm terribly hooked, no wonder SquareEnix boasted a lot about it. A very very awesome game, even though I haven't finished it.

- Cleaned up- I've cleaned up some clutter in my room, since my bed is surrounded by comic books and manga, and I've managed to stack them neatly. I guess my next mission is to clean up my bookself, its messy too. I'm running out of space to place things~

-Free Comic Book Day was soo fun. Got myself finally a copy of Scott McCloud's 'Making a Comic' or something like that.

-Ragnarok Online - wow.. I've not been playing it over weekdays now, i've been playing them over weekends and usually only during WoE. And currently iRO's having an event, Happy Anniversary iRO Gravity!

- Drawing bursts - ever since the appearance of new members, it has envigored and inspired me to start drawing more often again. perhaps the arrival of competition has been spurred from the flickering fire withing my body and is now slowly burning bigger.

-Wisdom teeth - three weeks ago my lower left wisdom tooth has begun to push out, its terribly painful, and it seems my lower right has began to push out as well, because I feel itchy and it seems swelling has started :| good luck to me - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - pure adrenaline rush, very very nice.

That's it so far. I hope to hear from readers some comments one of these days. Until then keep smiling ^__^

busy lately...
Today's Wish: good rest
Current Music on the Head: kokoro no odoru
Food in thought: spaghetti
What did you do?: erm...watched csi season 6 disc 4, ragnarok online, cg'ed some art,tried finishing elite beat agents.

well well well, more then a month has gone by and I almost forgot that I have my own blog.
Been very busy lately, and more stress being experienced over work. People seem to feel the large pinch of the so-called "economic crisis" America seems to be experiencing.

Honestly, i'm not feeling it financially, but then again, i don't pay a lot of bills, so I don't worry as much. Whoever's feeling the pinch now, please endure, we're all hoping it will eventually disappear, just keep yourself smiling, sacrifice a little bit of the things one enjoys to be able to save up a bit.

I've got a lot of things i've been needing to finish, i'm having a hard time with all of them.
Hopefully I get to finish them all. Also, i've recently regulary feed my fish in my Gaia Aquarium, because they're so cute.

A lot of things occured during February, and I couldn't post much during that time. I'll just list it.
- Dad got rushed to the hospital one early morning, couldn't do a thing because I can't drive the car w/o passing my driving license. Turns out he had gallstones, he had it taken off last week.
- Me, Dad and my brother checked out Reno and Tahoe around the first week of Feb.
- Eventually started going to the library at least once a week.
- Excited over Fanime all the time.
- Watched Coraline, The Watchmen, Paul Blart, The Knowing.

That's it for now, its pretty short but can't be helped. I'm tired.
Keep yourself smiling ^_^

Belated Happy New Year to 2009!
Today's Wish:A good night's sleep

Food in thought: Tamarind Beef Stew
What did you do?: Played RO, watched some sort of Jackie Chan movie on local television, Did some grocery, cooked some sweet rice cake <3

Well well well, its been a while since I posted. Once again, A Belated Happy New Year to all. I have been pretty busy with work at the office during the holiday season, and I can finally breath a sigh of relief that it is over and done with and no longer in need of ranting about.

I've been doing a lot of stuffs lately, and I've almost forgotten that Fanime 2009 is almost here. I really really can't wait. I will have to do a lot of arrangements because of it. That means the BAUU Down 08 is almost on its due and deadline date for participating members. I'm afraid, this time I will not be submitting anything, so I would most likely be just helping out selling out comic books.

On to more news, I'm a year older and wiser now, and hopefully I've learned a lot of things form the year 2008. It was a very very memorable year. As for Christmas Gifts, I got one off my wishlist, I got a lightbox to work on! Now I can practice not only animation, but also make my linearts far more clean then they were before.

Ragnarok Online

As usually, my addiction to this amazing PC game never ends, as I finally Transcended my Hunter and turner her into a Sniper last Thursday. I am very happy with it, but It would have been more awesome if the color dye for Sniper remained the color Green. Oh well, you can't have everything ne?

Here's 2008 Screenshot Gallery

Dragon Ball: Origins

I've purchased a DS game from GameStop called Dragon Ball: Origins, and frankly for $19.99 its much more worth then it was priced at. The gameplay and story-menu-mode is set so you can always play the chapters you've passed thru again and again to acquire money, figures or special orbs that permit you to advance Son Goku's skills. The only thing I find annoying is that Bulma always gets ahead of you and often into trouble. You'll have to be up to your toes to keep up with her. The Graphics is well-rounded, and the comedy will crack you up so hard.
If you have a DS and you are a Dragon Ball series Fan, this is a must-buy for you.

My Rating:

Elite Beat Agents

I was browsing around GameStop when I found a used game of Elite Beat Agents. I knew it was a must-buy, so I bought it at around $16.99 and tried it out. True to what people rated it with, it is a fun, crazy and challenging game. It was very very different from other rhythm and music games like the Ontamarama I had. So yeah, believe what others say, that it's a rare game, I was lucky to have found it.

My Rating:

DeviantART News

I gave Karu and Pie Arashi a month's worth of DA subscription for them doing a request for me, which is a pretty cute illustration.

PIE VS KARU 2009 by =karuishikawa on deviantART

Enjoy your subscription you two :3

Style School 3

Aiya! I finally got my hands of the continuation of the Style School Series. This one had a very very gorgeous cover. And as usual it had good tips and tricks for any aspiring manga/anime illustrator out there like me, from photoshop, to copics, to toning and inking, and it includes a lot of different illustrations from all over japan, which might be considered to be a good reference material, if ever you're searchin for a particular style to acquire influence from.
A must buy if you can afford 16$+TAX

So there you go, I really had a busy month. Until we meet again, keep smiling ^__^

Fermont Holiday Anime Faire, Ragnarok 12.0 Update and Office X-mas Party
Today's Wish: That I get well from my cold
Current Music on the Head: Kokia-Say Hi!!
Food in thought: sushi
What did you do?: just woke up from bed

Well well well, It has been a while. I have not posted in 2 weeks, so here I am posting one now.

Fremont Holiday Anime Faire

So I attended for the first time the yearly Fremont Anime Holiday Faire thru acquiring info from my BAAU friends. It was a really fun experience inside a small convention. But I was just concerned with the drawing workshop, so I was excited to learn some new things. I didn't expect the workshop comes with a free manga sketchpad and two different line widths of sakura micron pens and a sumo mech pencil, all for 5$ how awesome it that?

So Mr Ian and Miss Karen taught about not only dynamic poses, but the cause and effect dynamic posings of two stick figures, pretty interesting concept that I've never even thought about. There was also a plus when I discovered that this familiar guy across the room was Long Vo, a former Gaia Online Artist. I knew he looked familiar, but I didn't know where. His sketching abilities are quick and awesome, and I was able to ask for his autograph, he's a pretty nice person.

So around the convention, there were different workshops going on at the same time, like make your own Christmas card table, or make your own Christmas ornament for your Christmas Tree table, PMBQ merchandise, where I bought 2 awesome shirts from for a bargain price of 20$. The snack store had nice goodies, including cotton candy <3<3 Top Ramen, and beverages. There was also a Gaia Online store where they sold Gaia Online Merchandise, I was finally able to buy one of my things in the wishlist, to have my own Kiki Kitty plushie, waii!! so cute.

On the way back, I met Jill again from the previous BAUUBQ, and was nice enough to give me a ride to the station :) which was awesome of her (after eating at a Pho' for the first time).

All in all the Fremont Holiday Anime Faire was incredible, a really delightful event that had big things, for a small convention ^__^

Ragnarok Online 12.0 Patch Update

Aiyayayay! RO had just recently updated the game, and in this chapter of the stories in Midgard, Morroc City was devastated by a deadly explosion coming from the Morroc Palace, which people claim was the cause of Satan Morroc escaping from its thousand years of slumber buried under the Morroc Palace. Children lost their parents, merchants moved into the Pyramid map in makeshift tents, still trying to sell their wares, and people who are just damn affected by such trauma they have never experienced in their lives. Morroc City will never be the same again, with tens of buildings and houses totalled or partially destroyed, and the Kingdom of Rune-Midgard is in a state of panic. The Royal orders from Prontera's Castle, now that King Tristam III is no longer with them, try their best to send soldiers and willing volunteers to help restore back the former glory of a city that was once known for its awesome oasis, the City of Morroc. A sad story Indeed.

Together with this update was an implementation of the so-called BattleGrounds, where adventurers choose which Prince's side they help lend their powers in order to settle which prince will become the new king of the Marroll Kingdom. I haven't experienced the enjoyment of the game yet, however, observing my younger brother frantically playing BattleGrounds due to the incentive points and items of Valor and Bravery given to those who helped, seems to be exhilarating and exciting as well.

Office X-Mas Party

The party was just last night, and as usual, enjoyed all the free sushi I can acquire. Nothing much were very eventful just the usual, eat, play casino games and listen to music. It was very very chilly tho, and I still haven't recovered from my cold yet.

That's all so far. Since Christmas is nearby, I'm greeting everyone who checks out my blog every now and then, Merry Christmas and Happy new year!!

Halloween and zOMG!
Today's Wish:good night's sleep
Current Music on the Head: zOMG! background music
Food in thought: pizza
What did you do?: work, played zOMG!

Well well well, Halloween has come and gone, and it has been pretty eventful. People dressing up in the office, some kids trick or treating, lots of candies left behind. It was very very exciting indeed.

Ragnarok Online

For this year's halloween event, iRO implemented a funny quest, as well as 2x exp on premium and free servers.

The funny quest, required you to have 0% weight limit and no skills are permitted to be used inside. Once settled withe the weight terms, the event NPC would warp you to a Payon City full of zombies, starting with 1hp, a run-and-survive situation as you find which south gate lets you escape.

As for the exp event, I have made use of it to party with some guildmates and gain some experience to be nearer to the shininess called level 99. I've been playing all weekend nonstop, and it has been exhausting.

zOMG!

I was checking on my e-mails, when I noticed a Gaia Online announcement. zOMG! was finally open for beta stages to try out. It took a while to figure out how the game works and the intro to the game is always awesome to watch. However, it seems to be taking up too much of my graphics card. because I'm having slow movement and such.
But the quest and trick or treating is enjoyable! truly a flamboyant way of opening up the new MMO t the public.

SF Japantown Meet, Oct 26, 2008

Aiya!! another BAAU meet, pretty memorable and very worth the travel. I met two of the newest members of our sketchy group ^_^ Always a good sign that our community of artists with similar interest is never fresh out.

Link Plugness: BayAnime

I have some Halloween pictures, however I have not uploaded any yet. I will soon tho! so you'll get to see the wack photos I took.

Until then keep smiling!!

A New Harvest
Today's Wish: More sleep and rest
Current Music on the Head:
Get this widget | Track details | eSnips Social DNA

Food in thought:burger and onion rings
What did you do?: hungry, but inspired by good music

Well well well, its another installment of my blog. There hasn't been much eventful things in my life currently, aside from hanging out in my new friends place and party hangouts.

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness

I bought myself a new game from Gamestop and I know very well this game will be worth it. This game also commemorates Natsume's 10th Anniversary for the Harvest Moon Series.

Seriously, this game is far more challenging then the other HM games I've encounters in the GBA. The time passes faster then usual, some requirements should be met, its easy to earn money, but not the lumber to upgrades :( but In just 6 days i've been playing, the game indicates that I've already achieved 45% of the game.

~~~~~~~
And in addition not finishing this entry my Harvest Moon IoH is currently at 70% in completion :)
Ragnarok Online
Nothing much has occured in the game except that they added a new feature in testing. Clothing Dye, each job class only has one color clothing dye. But honestly some were not so tasteful shall we say. Here are some pics
Photobucket
Photobucket
Seriously, they gave me a nice clothing dye for hunters :) we'd almost completely camouflaged ourselves with the color.
The Tech Museum
So like two weeks ago, I checked out the Tech Museum, and it wasnt that expensive for an Adult Pass, but yeah there were a lot of things that one hour can't do. However, I did have fun with the earthquake simulator, and it also turns out your ticket is interactive! so hold onto it and view your experience later online at their website.
In with the old Out with the new
I got myself a new phone, since my old one's really, and i'm serious using this word, disintegrating. I don't know but, but I bet its just a few years too old. 4-5 years to be exact. So yeah I purchased a Nokia 5320 unlocked, so I can go around the world and not have network problems :D
This new phone's awesome, good audio, the buttons are slippery, and it looks a little more fragile then my old one, so I really need to be careful with this one.
Warning: Don't buy from Overseas Electronics
So yeah, I went to this website to purchase my phone. And in the shipping out section, I had a choice of paying 25$ more to have my item delivered in 2 days flat. It sounded good, so I paid. My new phone came a week after, the gits. They said I only paid for ground shipping...right...whatever. Anyways I went on the web and check this company's reputation, and it seems it has a fair deal of problems, shipping wrong items, no returns, no exchange, communication problems, shipping prices not specified and so on and so forth, you can check the list of reported problems when dealing with this companty at the better business bureau online and see their 3-4 page list of stuffs.
Tropic Thunder
I watched Tropic Thunder the other week with friends and it was serioiusly hilarious and action-packed. Its a must-see recommendation, with lots of side-jokes about other movies and awesome cameos of certain stars.
My Rating:
Style School 2
I've treated myself in buying myself another manga/anime making related book. And This is the one I'm going to review. It's slightly more expensive then the first one I bought from borders. It has 20% tutorials and the remaining galleries and galleries of different artists, I find it pretty nice. This volume discusses about drawing the human anatomy anime-style, also needs to be slightly correct so it has some drawing references of anime-style anatomy. How to make awesome background by Emperialboy, how a certain artist use Copic Markers, Color Inks, and Photoshop. Very useful and pretty inspiring. You should check it out.
An old friend
What did you do?:Work, and watched Change
Well well well, I missed last Sunday's post ne? I'm trying very hard to post it every sunday to at least make it weekly. But honestly, I'm very very tired. Work's been keeping me that way sadly :( I really need to plan some sort of vacation.
Well, in-between, I try my best to amuse myself, and listen to my favorite podcast.
Anime fans unite, please try to listen and enjoy to Ichigo and Battou's antics at Anime-Pulse
Change
From this podcast I was able to look-up this awesome JDrama, called Change from their Episode #144 at anime pulse. Its pretty inspiring, and so far I've only finished episode 5.
Ganbare! Change cast!
Its kinda awesome to see someone really try hard to convert hard-minded politicians, not to mention, getting under their skin. I wonder what will happen next?
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Meh, I watched it with friends, and honestly in my opinion, its not that much. I expected it to be like, the entire story of the clone wars. But I kinda discovered, that it was just an intro. Those with Cable TV rejoice, you'll be able to watch the continuation after this movie. Sucks that I don't have Cable TV, but its okay, I'm a picky person anyways. Music however, is pretty upbeat. As for the 3-D they look like 3-D meshes just added painted-style skin to :( not much, really looks flat in my opinion, but that's how they want it done, so be it.
What did you do?: Library, Ate at Bento,played the RO Stonecutter quests-currently on the Veins Quest, Played further on Final Fantasy Tactics A2
Well well well, it wasn't much of a busy week, however, I am noticing that I seriously am finishing my work in the office later then usual. It is tiring, but work is work, can't be helped, especially if you're send off stuff for the newspaper.
I'll be just ticking off the eventful going ons during last week. So sit back, relax and don't hurry reading, I'm not forcing you to read everything :)
Eri Kawai Passes Away
Source
It is very sad to discover, that one of your favorite Anime singers has gone on to the other side. She was very young too, and made a handful of memorable music to remember her by.
To be honest, she is one of the best to produce music for opening and ending songs, she's the first best and Maaya Sakamoto is my second best choice. I like her because of her beautiful, clear, angelic voice.
Ragnarok Online
It seems that they have a new quest this week, and I find it very educational to discover more of Rune-Midgard's History. I've started the Stonecutter's Quest, where I will visit cities that contain an age-old statue cut out of stone in honor of gods/goddesses. Currently, I'm attempting to finsh the fourth part of the quest, the Veins statue of the Goddess Freyja situated in the Temple.
Also, it made me gain a little base exp while enjoying the hunt for the offerings for the Gods/Goddesses. Pretty convenient, and I don't need to worry much :)
Swing Vote
Wooh! this movie was awesome. I watched it with dad on a Thursday night, and it was very very comical. But yeah, it had a lot of lessons for all the participants in the story.
I give this, a 4 stars :D
GolfLand Again
Meh, Friday night me and some friends visited another friends place, and then we left as well. Nothing much productive, so we agreed to go to golfland again and have fun. That's it. It was very tiring though afterward.
What did you do?:Today? Hmm... Got some more festival tickets from RO and then played FFTA2 more, Did some emergency quick laundry at the coin laundry and played some more FFTA2
Hello Hello!!! Its been a while!! Its been around 2 weeks and it seemed that I've already forgotten my blog. Honestly, I am forgetful at times :3 But no worries! I'm here to update you all on what I've been doing with my life :)
Santa Cruz Beach
A week after my youngest brother's graduation, a friend of mine proposed that me and my other friends head for the beach. We had a good time, and there were also some bad times. I have learned a very important lesson: Bring durable slippers because the sand is scorching hot during midday. My slippers broke down, and one of my friends offered his slippers on the way back. Man, did it really scorch him >.<
Movies:
Recently I've been watching a handful of movies lately that I need to really remember hard what i've watched. So here goes...
  • Kung-Fu Panda - The animation was very smooth and comical. Storyline is very solid and the beginning starts in a slow crawl but nothing that came from there was left behind at the end.
  • Wanted - Awesome effects, the storyline is light and can be related to other 'life stories' but very graphic when it comes to sex scenes as well as the violence scenes. Better watch this at matinée price and not good for kids.
  • Hancock- Good Story, very humorous and heartwarming, and a happy ending :D
Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced 2
Wooot!! I've acquired a new game and its the best one I consider among all other DS games I currently posses 8D As expected this game had a lot to offer for me. Fun, diversity of new jobs and races, made even harder to play even at normal mode and more. Took me a while to finally be able to dispatch decent clan members for a quest and many more. I couldn't take my hand off my DS even up till now, I had to wrench myself off from it to remember to update this blog XD. Best Strategy RPG around for the DS.
Ragnarok Online
I've been aware that the Hugel Festival has been around for the last two weeks due to iRO's Anniversary Celebration, however I only tried acquiring tickets for base exp just last friday because I was free from work (I finished early <3>
As for War of Emperium, it has been recently been frustrating that the Under the Moonlight Guild of Loki has been juggling duties to support fellow Allianced Guilds or to go hunt a castle for our own. As surprising as it was I was the one responsible in securing the position of the Castle Guardians to be at the Entrance at all possible time. Really frustrating when lag strikes in and you die in one blow.
Sketches
I've been doing a handful of sketches as of late out of boredom while fulfilling my daily duties. Some were awesome and some were scribbles and I'm too lazy to color them digitally or even scan them through my old scanner. Maybe one of these days you'll be able to see them in my DeviantArt Gallery.
For now I'm pretty much occupied playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
Until then people of the world. Take care and hear from you next time :D
Fanime 2008
I am soo happy I've attended Fanime 2008. It has been a relieving experience. The only one i'll experience until next year.
I've finally finished posting my pics and vids up, come check it out :D
Fanime 2008 Pictures
*sigh* I wish it was all week, but we all know we'd be out of ideas, and money by then TAT
Okay some Highlights to tick off:
  • I saw old and new faces, really good to see people again, even though you don't personally know their names, where they're from, and what they're up to. It feels like an awesome method of uniting people of similar interests.
  • Me and my bro cosplayed for the first time. I went as a Ragnarok Online Ninja while my bro went as Red-Haired Shanks from One-Piece. Quite and experience i'll never forget to remember to keep your props secure or you'll lose them as soon as you leave the elevator of your Hotel room.
  • I discovered that the Swap Meet is the best place to get bargains. I was able to at least touch the Legendary Poring Mouse. I couldn't buy it because the owner was selling it for $100 TAT. One can also haggle prices, or it seems. I was able to haggle down Vol 1 and Vol 2 of Ragnarok Manhwa from 3$ each to 1$ each <3>
  • Karaoke room is awesome as usual. I heard people's different voices, whether it be just seconds late of lyrics or totally out of tune, it just feels so right to vent out your feelings into the song and release all the pressures of the world one has been holding onto for a year with songs.
  • I finally got to play with some people on my DS it was totally fun. Speaking of DS Games, the Dealers room had Japanese import games OMG I was sooooooooooooooooo happy, I didn't need to pay for the shipping fee <3<3>,<>
  • The Gaming Rooom, Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~~!!! its the best!!! All the arcade games you can play all weekend nights looong!!! And the Console Gaming Center was more organized then last year, soo much better <3<3<3>
  • I finally got to meet the rest of the BAAU gang!! (BAY AREA ARTISTS UNITE) quite an experience to discover people from different lifestyles and own personalities. I was a little shy, but it all went alright. I tried helping sell our BAAU Down 7 debut manga :D Someone please buy our manga ^^ we still have around 300 copies more and also more of the previous issues. We were able to sell more then a hundred issues at the Artists Alley. We also had dinner at this Indian Resto called Tandoori, and since we got short of tables inside, we ate outside in the view of how San Jose evening Nightlife looks like. We also went up to the BAAU hotel room and talk about stuffs and more sales strategies. Quite an enchanted evening I had.
  • Anime Video Rooms, you gotta love them, was able to watch a couple of my fave animes, like Detective Conan, and Hellsing Ultimate, and glimpses of Dragon Ball Z, Rise of Broly, and Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust.
  • Panels are as encouraging as ever, amusing as well. I didn't imagine that Jonathan Osborne's "Who's Line Is It?" Panel could be so hilarious plus the fact that it had audience participation and with Ebner leading the crowd (Vote for Ebner for next con President!!)
  • Photos Photos Photos!!! can't have enough of it but It can't be helped if we ran out batteries and memory, we knew such things would come, but it still came even if we were prepared *sigh*
  • Best stay ever at the San Jose Hilton Hotel, they made sure they clean our rooms every time we leave <3<3<3>
  • The cosplay gathering were sooo fun!!! but more fun was the appearance of Protestors. For some reason they just appeared in the front of the Convention Center with placards saying "Turn to Jesus or Burn in Hell" and other things. Either they mistook this Fanime Convention as some sort of Religious Congregations, or they just believe that Anime Fans are heretics to the Christian Religion. Either way, it is not something i'd like to force people to just change immediately and become instant Saints. They brought Evangelism to new heights, that they did, but it is sad to hear they think liking anime is a sin in itself. Anyways I heard the Jesus cosplayer came out during the incident due to the clamor of the anime crowd and went before these protestors and had fun taking pictures with them. Quite an amazing feat from what i've seen in the videos on Youtube.
*sigh* I wait next year's Fanime ^__^ Until then keep smiling.
