SiliConvention 2008
However I wanted to visit 2 events in one go, it simply cannot be done. So I chose to attend SiliConvention 2008 together with my BAAU friends <3
I've met old friends, met more new ones and really had fun! We took turns watching over the table, and then checked out the panel discussions, activities and even, entertainment.
ComicsJam - where anyone's invited to come and help create a comic and is willing to have your own art donated next year for fund raising in order to give to that particular charity SiliCon sponsors. Very interesting, and fun, especially the pure randomness.
Workshops - It was just very random, going here and there. I learned a lot of new things like Filking (folk songs with sci-fi topic) how to hand-bind your own book without requiring staples, a debate of Digital Art VS Traditional Art.
Entertainment - There was the Furry Parade, watching anime, and belly dancing!! very very entertaining indeeed <3<3
Parties - hoobooy their room parties were soo fun, just go in, talk/discuss, dance, sing and lots more.
Dealer's Room - Aiya the best part! buying some stuff!! I bought myself one Gothic Lolita Bible, so I could be, in some way be more familiar with this alternative popular fashion, as well as clothes references, just like Fruits and Fresh Fruits. And I got a good deal on Neopiko-1 Markers that I couldn't resist buying one set, and a good price too.
As for SiliCon Photos, it seems I need to fix the photos again, because it seems to have been corrupted during upload. Will fix it soon, good thing I did not delete the original photos yet.
Mountain View
Aiyaaa!! I wanted more markers that I ended up ordering some more, particulary some midtones and flesh tones I am lacking from the neopiko-1 starter set. I love the new colors <3<3
Me and a friend of mine ended up visiting Mountain View City just to wait for the merchant selling me the additional markers. We discussed and we traded, and we proceeded to the busy streets of Mountain View this evening. This place has rows and rows of restaurants, bars, bookstores and thrift shops worth giving a visit. A memorable experience.
Until then, keep smiling :)
